About ElderCare Sift
ElderCare Sift is a free online directory that helps Texas families find and compare nursing homes and senior care facilities. We believe choosing a care facility for a loved one should not be harder than it needs to be.
What We Do
We organize publicly available data from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS.gov) into an easy-to-search directory. Our listings include CMS star ratings, certified bed counts, staffing levels, inspection results, and contact information for nursing homes across Texas.
Our Data Source
All nursing home information on ElderCare Sift comes from CMS.gov public data sets, including the Medicare Nursing Home Compare program. We update our database regularly to reflect the latest available information from CMS. For full details, see our Data Sources page.
Data Currency
CMS updates its datasets on a periodic basis (typically quarterly for star ratings). Our data reflects the most recent CMS release available at the time of our last import. There may be a delay of several months between when changes occur at a facility and when they appear in our directory. Always verify information directly with the facility.
