Transparency is a core value at ElderCare Sift. This page explains how we handle advertising, affiliate relationships, and compensation.
Current Status: No Active Affiliate Relationships
As of the current date, ElderCare Sift does not participate in any affiliate programs, receive referral fees, or have paid partnerships with any nursing home, care facility, or service provider. Our directory is built entirely from public data.
Future Affiliate Relationships
ElderCare Sift may participate in affiliate or referral programs in the future. If we do, we commit to the following principles:
- Clear Disclosure: Any page or link that generates compensation for ElderCare Sift will be clearly labeled. We will not hide affiliate relationships.
- Data Integrity: Affiliate relationships will not influence the CMS data we display, the ratings shown for any facility, or the order in which facilities appear in our default directory listing.
- Editorial Independence: Our guide content, city pages, and facility listings are based on publicly available data and editorial judgment. Paid partnerships will not dictate which facilities are featured or how they are described.
- Equal Treatment: Facilities that do not participate in any affiliate program with us will continue to be listed with the same level of detail and accuracy as those that do.
How Affiliate Links May Appear
If we join affiliate programs in the future, compensation may occur through:
- Referral links to care placement services or senior living advisors
- Sponsored content that is clearly labeled as such
- Display advertising on the site
When any of these are present, they will be identified with clear visual labels and noted in this disclosure.
Our Commitment to Users
- We will never accept payment to alter, remove, or fabricate CMS ratings or inspection data for any facility.
- We will never charge families for access to our directory or basic facility information.
- Any changes to this disclosure policy will be updated on this page with the date of the change.
